Dive bars. Two doors down from here there’s a little joint that’s full of old rednecks. I go in there, drop $10 in the jukebox, play nothing but Marvin and Prince and just get wasted. The rednecks are like, What the f**k?!

Hey! Solonge I know you,re getting negative comments on this blog. But from me to you, you have to be careful how you carry yourself. There are younger girls who looks up to you, that consider you as there role model. So now there’re saying oh its cool to go in public and get wasted and have kids at home. Alcohol isn’t for everyone cause everyone don’t know how to handle it. There is nothing with having fun but have fun in a nice and classy way. You now have kids to represent. You would’nt want anyone coming to you telling you how wasted your mom was in a bar or night club. You know as well as i know people will read the negative before they read you doing anything positive, think of those under age girls that are on line reading the question and your respond. I’m not telling you anything to hurt you but to help you. Take care and wish you the best in what you are doing with your career and your kids.

First of all people need to stop comparing her to Beyonce. Yes she’s “B” lil sis but her name is Solange and thats how she should be addressed and introduced. not as Beyonces lil sis. I like the new single and the fact . that shes real. What she do in her private life is just that. People kill me acting like they’re so holy.Solange DO YOU!! If people was raising there kids right and stop letting tv and video games raise them. you wouldn’t have to worry about them doing what these celebs do. Who are we to judge anyone. Girl you are so real i like you style and its always good to know that you are your own person and you dont have to follow how people think you should be. Keep it real sista. Hi Solange. I’m 41 and i read your article. It’s okay to be yourself . You have your own conscience to deal with just like i deal with mine. My experience tells me that i’ve paved the way for my daughter to emulate. I tried to give her the best example even tho i kno i stll don’t have it all together. I would only be a role model to my child and do the best i can out here in this crazy world.
I’m sure Mom has some pretty good pointers for us all. Bon Chance.

OH PLEASSSSSE! Please Solange stop protecting your family. We all know how yall knowles get down. When you drink, we know BEY be wit yah! If you want to sell records don’t try so hard to be so little like your sister. After all if you get drunk to sell records, it would be no different then Beyonce getting half naked to sell records-same hustle-different vice! I wish you much love in your endevours, atleast now you’d be writing songs for yourself and not for destiny’s child!
