VMAs: Top 10 Most Hideous Looks

Most of the stars looked downright amazing at this year’s VMAs — including Britney Spears, who swept up all the Moonmen at this year’s show but disappointed some fans by not performing her latest hit (”Gimme More”). 10. CIARA

It’s almost impossible to find fault with the statuesque Ciara, but we can’t let her mop-head wig go without comment. Was she going for a retro Tina Turner look? We want her old hair back.

9. RIHANNA

Another singer with one name who looks flawless 99 percent of the time, we tried to write off Rihanna’s Thriller-esque stage outfit as a dramatic prop. But that carpet on her ass put us over the edge.

8. LUPE FIASCO

We give rapper Lupe Fiasco points for being daring enough to show up at the VMAs looking like a character out of The English Patient. But the combination of his riding boots, polka dot scarf and reading glasses looks more grandiose than smart.

7. TILA TEQUILA

Tila Tequila has a triangle in her shirt. Maybe her cleavage needs some air?

6. LIL WAYNE

It may have seemed rebellious when rappers began flaunting the “pants falling down” look — but wasn’t that 15 years ago?

5. PARAMORE’S HAYLEY WILLIAMS

Hayley Williams‘ VMA look is cute, but too calculated. We wonder how many hours she spent putting together an outfit that appeared as if she rummaged through her closet 15 minutes before the show.

4. KATY PERRY

Maybe Katy Perry wanted to look like an underwear model from the 1930’s, but this outfit reminds us that our grandmother was once a young sexual being … not at all sexy.

3. SHAUNA SAND

This former Playboy playmate wore her “You Can’t Afford Me” T-shirt to a pre-VMA party. Sadly, it looks like we could afford her — and probably for around $20. Sadder still, we’d turn her down.

2. KIM KARDASHIAN

It’s hard to put into words why Kim’s outfit at a pre-VMA party is bad. But we know it is. Anyone disagree? Thought not.

1. JORDIN SPARKS

We love Jordin Sparks. She radiates beauty. This is why we feel bad placing her at the top of our list of Most Hideous VMA Looks. Still, you can’t wear your Junior Prom dress to the VMAs. You just can’t.
