EXCLUSIVE: Hugh Hefner Entering His Brunette Period?

Amid rumors that the Girls Next Door romance among Hugh Hefner and girlfriends Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bridget Marquardt is on the rocks, Hef has reportedly been shopping around for some new bunnies. The qualifications to be one of Hef’s lovely ladies have drastically changed, however, and according to our inside source, being blonde is no longer a requirement. A source reveals exclusively to Scandalist that on Sunday at the exclusive “Fun In The Sun” party at the Playboy Mansion, “Hef was chatting up two brunettes for hours!”

Hef has not dated a brunette since girlfriend Carrie Leigh in the late 80s, who was with him when he suffered a stroke. But now, with Bridget away on a trip to Spain and Kendra and Holly seemingly not on Hef’s brain, he apparently is considering playing for the other (brunette) team. In 2001, Hef seemed set on blonde girlfriends, telling Vanity Fair, “Picasso had his pink period and his blue period. I am in my blonde period right now.” But has the blonde period ended with rumors that Hef may be moving over to the dark side?
