Peaches’ Marriage Over Already?

In the least shocking news ever to grace our web browser, it was reported over the weekend that talent void Peaches Geldof is to split from her husband Max Drummey after 96 days of wedded bliss. Poor Peaches had entered into the sacred union of marriage after knowing her husband for at least a few weeks, and no doubt she is traumatized beyond belief, as many people are when going through a difficult, heartwrenching split - when the love of your life turns out not to be so. Or, as the case may be “she just doesn’t fancy him any more,” reports the News of the World.

“[She] wants to move on. To her it is as simple as that. She just wants to divorce him and find a new boyfriend. Max is heartbroken. He has been through the mill in the last three months, but there is nothing he can do. He genuinely believed marriage was a long term commitment, but Peaches has shattered his dreams. We all warned her not to rush into this but Peaches, being as defiant and cocky as ever, just ploughed in head first,” the requisite “friend” told the paper.

Staggered as we are by this shocking news, we can’t help but remember Peaches saying she didn’t get married “thinking this will last forever.” Hmmm. Today her publicist has denied the couple are to divorce, and are instead holed up in New York trying to sort things out. “They have their ups and downs but at the moment Peaches and Max are still together and they are not getting divorced,” they said. Still, when a publicist says your marriage is anything other than fricking perfection on a plate, you know things are dodgy.
