Films being made into musicals isn’t a new idea, what with Billy Elliott, Hairspray and Dirty Dancing among the money-spinners currently packing in crowds in the West End and on Broadway. But we’re growing increasingly concerned that any old flick is now being considered for staging with the news that Whoopi Goldberg is bringing the, um, “legendary” 1990’s film Sister Act to London.
