It seems like Hilary Duff, who just turned 21, has been trying to shed her Tween Queen status for years — and, from the looks of it, her upcoming Maxim spread might help her effort a little bit. On the cover of January’s “Sexiest Stars of 2009″ issue, Duff dons a very sexy dress and lingerie while explaining why she plays a temptress in her music video for “Reach Out.”
“I was ready to do something different. The intention was not to be overtly sexual, I’m not naked. I do have little shorts on in it … It’s good to show different sides of youself.”
Translation: In Hollywood, sex sells. It’s crass, we know. But just ask Miley “Sexy Pics” Cyrus, who at 15 years old was ranked No. 35 on Forbes‘ list of the 100 richest and most influential personalities. Duff didn’t make the cut. [Source: Oh No They Didn't via Maxim]

God forbid we actually have artists with musical talent anymore. This crap is just sampled and the mixed down it programs like garage band.
And news flash: Acting like a tramp and doing tasteless music videos and shots for maxim doesn’t make you a grown up, it just shows how immature you still are and desperate to look like an adult in others’ eyes. Why can’t these girls just try to pursue a serious career and prove they’re an adult by making something of themselves?
I just hope that Depeche Mode didn’t actually give their permission for this trash.
