Marcus Schrenker Arrested, Found In Pool Of Blood

Marcus Schrenker, the Indiana businessman who faked his own death by crashing his plane Sunday, was found by authorities at a Florida campground last night. Schrenker was bleeding heavily from his wrist, thanks to self-inflicted knife wounds.  “The wounds were definitely open for a while. There was a large loss of blood and he was pretty incoherent at the time,” said a U.S. Marshal at the scene. “If we didn’t arrive at the time, his survival was questionable, that’s for sure.”

Schrenker is listed in fair condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Currently he is only wanted for felony violations in Indiana, but charges may be filed against him in Alabama (where he leapt from the plane) and Florida (where it crashed). More embezzlement-related charges in Indiana are expected as well.

Schrenker’s estranged wife Michelle, who filed for divorce in late December, has denied any previous awareness of his crimes. “Clearly, Michelle and her three children are victims of this man’s deceitfulness as well,” said her lawyer. “She is not guilty of anything other than trusting her husband of 13 years…[The divorce is] based on her husband’s infidelity and in no way was based on the investment fraud of which he is accused.”

i predict that Marcus Schrenker’s life will be turned into an indy film within the next year (starring Gerard Butler of course since they look so much alike)
