New details have come into play against the case against Chris Brown, who posted his $50,000 bail last night after being arrested Sunday for making criminal threats. The singer is also under investigation for domestic violence, allegedly against his girlfriend Rihanna, and cops say additional charges may still be filed. The woman involved in the altercation is still listed as “unidentified.”
Interestingly enough, Brown spoke to Giant magazine in 2007 witnessing his step-father abuse his own mother as a kid. “He used to hit my mom,” Chris apparently told the magazine. “He made me terrified all the time, terrified like I had to pee on myself. I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, ‘I’m just gonna go crazy on him one day . . . ‘ I hate him to this day.”
The singer - who heads to court on March 5th - also told the magazine that at the time, he encouraged his mother not to go to the authorities about the violence. “Don’t go to no cops pressing no charges,” Brown said, recalling their conversation. “Like we don’t do that in the hood.”
The internet is obviously buzzing with talk about what fueled his alleged (and atrocious) act of violence, and the rumor we’re hearing is that the fight started over Rihanna supposedly giving Chris herpes. All of this is so unfortunate especially given their success. I am really disappointed in a lot of media outlets as mentioned in my blog for their lack of respect and humility for the situation. At the end of the day it’s more than celebrity gossip it’s domestic violence and should be taken as serious as possible. Glitz and glamour turns out not to be everything, as usual..smh

You know how some men who come back from the war and have flashbacks and go into a fit of rage…I am thinking maybe that is what happen to Chris except he is still fighting the war in his head with the hatred of his father.

They say violence begets violence. It is sad to say, but chances are if he grew up in an abusive home and didn’t have help dealing with those pent up emotions, he will repeat the same pattern. I know everyone wants to get real dramatic with this, because they are celebrities, but it happens every day. It is horrible that people put each other through such terrible pain. I am not defending what he did because he had no right to touch her in a violent way, no matter what the circumstances. I just hope they can both get help from this…he needs to learn to deal with anger better and he also needs to learn to deal with what he went through as a child. She needs to learn how to love herself more and not hold onto someone that will repeat the same actions. Unless he gets help, he won’t change. Hopefully he will try to see the error in his ways and do something about it, before it eventually leads to him beating his children one day. Either way…I wish them both well.
