Amber Carter has taught elementary school in Bellefontaine, Ohio for 13 years without reprimand. So imagine the surprise when Carter was arrested for prostitution outside a Super 8 motel yesterday during school hours. Local police received an anonymous tip last week that someone was selling sex on Craigslist. Turns out Carter was using a school computer to make appointments, and even called out sick to meet a john on the afternoon of her arrest.
Now someone has to explain this all to her students. “It’s just a bad situation,” said school district superintendent Larry Anderson. “It’s not our place to tell them too much, but we figured the students might have heard rumors and would have some questions.” Like how much she takes for an OWO and whether she’s a NQBS, for instance.
