Billy Bob’s Bizarre Radio Interview

Billy Bob Thornton is giving Joaquin Phoenix some stiff competition for most bizarre celebrity interview.

Billy Bob showed up to do an interview with CBC host Jian Ghomeshi on his show “Q” and had nothing but bizarre, unrelated, hostile answers to Jian’s questions.

Things started off on the wrong foot when Jian introduced Billy Bob as an “Oscar-winning screenwriter, actor and director,” at which Billy Bob rolled his eyes.

Then Billy Bob proceeded to answer most of the questions about his own band, the Boxmasters, with “I don’t know” or “I don’t know, maybe.”

He then answered a question about his musical influences by describing a model building contest he participated in as a child.

Now he just needs a beard and ambitions to turn into a rap star.

I did not find this “bizarre” on Billy Bob’s part! It is clear that the punk, dumbsh% interviewer doesn’t get it. This musician and his band are wise enough to understand the minimizing effect that gets dropped by a wiseass DJ and they weren’t havin it. Amidst all of the hype about Billy being off center… I see it as more of an indicator of how moronic our music media and carriers of the culture are.
Listen closer. Look at the hype and reconsider . This is not Billy Bob being hostile. This is a man holding on to dignity!
This is more a kin to Dylan ridiculing the Evening News reporters. Sadly, this DJ should be closer to the soul of the artist and he hasn’t got a clue.
The context is there. Billy is the lucid one.

Billy Bob is such a _!$*`~^~&#*+^_&# Does he really think that acting like that is good for his so-called musical career? Jeez. I’ve never even heard his music played on the radio. Poseur.

Joaquin Phoenix might be able to orchestrate a PR spoof to advance his career, but Billy Bog just isn’t cool enough to pull off something like that
