You’d think Mariah Carey, who is about to collect $1 million for a gig opening a hotel in Turkey, would breeze through security at LAX. But it seems that one dutiful officer insisted on checking the mega-star’s passport. We wonder how that conversation played out.

Security: “Excuse me, maam, your passport please … Your name is Mariah Carey?
Mariah: Yes.
Security: Are you leaving the country for business or leisure?
Mariah: Um, I have a concert to perform.
Security: You are a musician?
Mariah: Yes. My voice has a five-octave range. I’m getting a million bucks for a gig.
Security: Right, and pigs can fly. You do not have more than $10,000 cash on your person, correct?
Mariah: Well, I do like to buy a lot of glittery shoes.
Security: A comedian, huh? Okay maam, please proceed.
