With physical singles becoming a thing of the past, the idea of a song needing a “cover” seems more and more unnecessary. That is unless your cover features Mariah Carey, soaked to the bone in her skivvies, squeezing water out of her T-shirt. So we’ll give “Obsessed,” the first single off Carey’s Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, a pass.

The upcoming video for the song, released today, will be helmed by Rush Hour director Brett Ratner. So expect something glossy, explosive and…if this cover means anything…wet.
