Family And Famous Friends Mourn Michael
Statements are starting to roll in from some of the biggest names in Hollywood about the tragic death of Michael Jackson. First, his family released the following statement, which was read by his brother Jermaine (video clip above):
“My brother, the legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, at 2.26 pm. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known. The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother, as did paramedics who transported him to the hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1.14 pm, a team of doctors, including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of one hour and they were unsuccessful. Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time, and may Allah be with you Michael always. Love you.”
Madonna is in tears over the loss of her old friend:
“I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless.”
Justin Timberlake weighs in:
“I can’t find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael’s passing. We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only pop music, but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him onstage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.”
Ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley:
“I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me.”
Will.I.Am:
“I am so grateful to have worked with the King. He was a gift to the world. He is a bright light, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the world stopped spinning tomorrow.”
Brooke Shields:
“My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael. He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world. I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing.”
Corey Feldman, who was friends with Jackson as a child:
“I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend.”
And his dear friend Elizabeth Taylor is too heartbroken to comment. Her reps say:
“Dame Elizabeth Taylor is too devastated by the passing of her dear friend Michael Jackson to issue a statement at this time.”

I am so broken hearted about Michael. I am 50 also, and can listen to his music and recount the years of my life.
I know I’m upset about Michael, but I’m confused as to why Michael was the only topic on all of the news channels, but MTV and VH1 had nothing on to commemorate Michael or to help his fans deal with this tragic loss. Running his music videos would have been a bit of a comfort. They would have kept me company while I cried.

When Thriller came out, my friend and I, 9 at the time, never left her house without her boombox. We listened to it over and over. We were at a slumber party when we heard about his head catching on fire while doing the Pepsi commercial. We cried for hours. Two years later I moved 3,000 miles away, and never saw my childhood friend again. However, everytime I hear a Michael Jackson song, it brings me back to those times of innocence and friendship. He touched my life, and I will miss him greatly!

what can you say about such a loving heart i always believed in Michael.the problem with the word when someone like Michael that is pure at heart and loving something has to be wrong with them. but after all they crucified JEUES CHRIST FOR BEING PURE AT HEART AND HE TO BROUGHT THE CHLILDREN ONTO HIM. We are all shocked to learn that Michael Jackson has passed. He was loved by millions & millions of people all around the world. Michael Jackson was the world greatest “Pop Star”. I remember as a child the 1st time I saw him with the Jackson Five. It was at the parking lot of the Atlanta stadium. There were so many people there that day. Unbelievable excitement. We were crying and happy all at the same time. Everytime he tried to speak the people would scream. We grew up singing & dancing to the music of Michael Jackson. He created such wonderful music that it is impossible to select just one all time favorite song. What a great Man….. Because he was so famous and started his musical career at such an early age he was not able to enjoy the simple things in life that makes us so happy. I also celebrate my birthday in August under the sign of Leo so I know he was a beautiful person inside & out. We will miss him but his music will live forever. I am still trying to determined what is my all time favorite song and I can’t. The list of great songs are so long that we love them all. One of the greatest entertainers of all times. Michael Jackson was a big part of my life as a musical icon. I was raised on michael since I was 2 and now I’m 26 with a daughter that’ s 4 yrs old that knows who michael Is and what he meant to the world all over. To hear that he’s gone hurts deeply, But he would want us to remeber what he has accomplished and what he has done for the world! MICHAEL JACKSON! TRUE LEGEND! ALWAYS LOVE.

The world has loss the most influential dancer, musician, performer of our generation… possibly of all time. We’ll miss him so much, but with all that was going on in his life of late we know he’s in a much better place now. To the singer, dancer, performer, songwriter, producer, businessman, choreographer, father, son, and legend, RIP. We love you! We honor you! We thank you for all you’ve given us!

I am sadden by the death it seems of an old friend. It seems we may have been thousands of miles apart, I feel like he was always there. Heaven Now has so many great people there.
Also mourning the loss of everyone that have passed. Everyone is going to be missed in their own right.

The King is gone so what do I have to live for this the most stunning thing I thought I was going to here. I would just like to say that a we can finish what he started if we all work together and we all will cherish his songs,dances, and his pics.

I loved Michael Jackson and will cherish his talent, music, performances, dancing, and singing forever. I am still in shock and just cannot believe it. It seems so weird, like a bad dream. I grew up watching him and listening to his music and danced to his music at my Dance Recital when I was younger. Every moment in my life I can relate to one of his songs. I never got to attend a concert or see him live and wish I could have. Everyone I grew up with wanted to dance like him. I loved the moonwalk and watching him perform. There will never be another Michael Jackson. He was a great person, musician, singer, songwriter, dancer and performer. He was a great Humanitarian!! I love you Michael, and will miss you forever!! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Jackson Family!! May God Bless All Of You!!!

I still cannot believe he’s gone to this day. His song “Childhood” got to me when i listened to it. Not only was he The King Of Pop, but also a legend. I feel as though i’ve lost a best friend. R.I.P. Michael i miss you and you’ve made a difference in my life. Because of you, I now write songs, you were my inspiration.

my heart goes out to mj and family.mj i wish god could have taken me and not u,u had so much to do.why god! i understand the problems u had to handle with growing up,because i was raised up the same way,it was really hard for me.so mj i really understand,but just remember people that wasn’t raise the way we were they will never understand us.
