Jackson’s Will Leaves Out Abusive Father
In the 2003 interview Living With Michael Jackson, the King of Pop opened up about how he was abused both physically and mentally throughout his entire childhood. Joe Jackson would allegedly “tear up” Michael Jackson and his brothers for even the slightest misstep during a Jackson 5 rehearsal — and Michael claimed the abuse was so severe that he’d become sick at the mere sight of his dad. So it should come as no surprise that Michael seems to have left his father with nothing in his will.
Drafted in 2002, the singer is said to be dividing his estate between his mother, his three kids (who maybe don’t even technically belong to him?), and at least one charity. Although Michael’s estate is a whopping $500 million in debt, his assets could be significant as he still owns half of Sony’s music catalog (we’re talking the Beatles and Bob Dylan as well as Lady Gaga and the Jonas Brothers).
Michael’s parents both claim that he died without a valid will. With a legal battle surely on the horizon, one would think that father Joe would be on his best behavior — or at least refrain from trying to promote his record company at the BET Awards three days after Michael’s sudden death. There is such a profound sadness in my heart after hearing of Michael’s death. I grew up in the thriller generation and was madly in love with Michael, I hope that in the midst of rumors and speculation people will stop and pay homage to a man whose talent is undeniable and unmatched. He was a gifted young man and he has played a huge part in youth. My prayers go out to his family . God bless them all

I have been heartbroken and i still cry when i see the cooverage. It doesn’t even seem real. Im just one of millions of very devoted fans. From my childhood my first memories were of my dad playing jackson 5 records days on end. And then when “Off the Wall” came out, i thought there was not any other artist in the world at that time. And then he got so big. His father will have no sympathy from most from his disgusting comments he made. My 14 yr. old daughter watched most of this coverage with me, and said i have probably cried more than his own family. I can’t help but cry. When you hear songs like “Heal the World” and “Man in the Mirror” all he wanted was to help the people of this world and some broke him down so hard that he had to isolate himself from the millions who loved him. I thought he would be one of those celebs who never died. i figured i’d be very old when this kinda news would come. i know most of us out here who love michael never “knew” him but somehow feel his pain through his eyes, and his music. I wonder someone with so much love to share and kindness in their hearts can be gone. I pray everyday that peace will come to you Michael. I will “rock with you” forever. God bless you Michael and your precious children who knew what love is all about. They are very lucky children to have had you for a father. You will live forever in my heart .xoxoxoxoxo

When I heard about Michael my heartbroke, I still can’t believe that he is gone!! Then I seen Joe Jackson on TV and it made me sick !!! How can you promote your new record lable after you son has passed away??!! There is something wrong with him!! I’m glade that Michael didn’t leave him anything I don’t think that he needs to get one thing!! Joe doesn’t even seem upset at all!! How can he be upset, its a perfect time to promote his record lable!!! How heartless can you get!!
I never thought Michael did any of those nasty things that they said he did, It was just a way for people to make money!! How can you live with yourselfs??

Screw Joe Jackson. Every boy deserves a childhood and a loving, supportive father. Joe made his boys famous, but at what cost?

Boo Hoo I don’t get full control over all that money despite my selfless efforts and boozing and working my son until he performed like a trained chimp at a young age.
