Paris’ Job Is Just Too Hard

Is it just us, or does the continued existence of Paris Hilton’s celebrity “career” seem increasingly out of step in 2009? We’ve had a global recession and credit crunch that has wiped the spending scales from our eyes, and said goodbye to some truly talented individuals, from Michael Jackson to DJ AM and now Patrick Swayze. So the news that Paris Hilton is at the center of threatened legal action in Germany for not turning up to events she’s being paid a fortune to do, is just too annoying to counter than ever.

Paris - with boyfriend Doug Reinhardt - reportedly pulled out of a series of events in Frankfurt over the weekend and instead refused to leave her hotel room. “Paris Hilton has dishonoured all appointments and contracts - the dinner with 18 high-ranking guests, the appearance at the bar, the autograph session at Mediastar.
