It’s finally official! Michael Jackson’s memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM PT/1 PM EST at L.A.’s Staples Center, broadcast live on television and also live-streamed on the web. Check in with us in the morning. We scored tickets, and will be live-blogging.

Tickets will be given away, not sold, through a random drawing of 8,750 names — a breath of fresh air to those who have been sickened by the leeches making money off of Jackson during every phase of his life. People may register for the drawing at Staplescenter.com. Each winner will receive two tickets and no one without a ticket will be admitted to the venue.

Police have already begun to secure the area around the Staples Center with barricades, and a Los Angeles City Councilwoman recommended that fans without a ticket watch the memorial on TV. We’ll see how that plays out … [Photo: AFP]

Multi-talented Rihanna yesterday showed off another skill and turned tattoo artist. The singer spent time in an East Village tattoo parlor last night apparently etching small designs — thought to be umbrellas, ho ho — onto willing fans. Rihanna’s a big fan of the body art and recently added another design to her personal collection.

But website TMZ reckons the star could be in trouble after violating the law regarding tattoo artists. “Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code. Despite recent claims that neither she nor Michael Jackson are biologically related to them, Debbie Rowe is to seek custody of her children Prince Michael and Paris. The former nurse, who gave up custody of the children to Jackson a number of years ago, said that she was “stepping up” to take charge of the kids, which also could include youngest child Blanket.

“She is going to be pursuing custody of the children. Frankly, she won’t have to fight for them. She is the children’s biological mother. She loves her children,” her former attorney Ivan Finsilver said.
