The American Cinema Editors “Eddie” Awards aren’t usually much of a red carpet event, but Mel Gibson sure did his part to get the ceremony some attention Sunday. Gibson’s goatee, merely peculiar last December, has since grown into something truly devilish. He recently wrapped shooting for Edge Of Darkness—his first starring role since 2002’s Signs—but the goatee is for a secret project Gibson won’t discuss until its officially announced. If it doesn’t involve sword fighting in a earlier century, we’re very confused.
