According to our reporter on the ground, some of the hottest moments on the red carpet of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards included T-Pain blowing passed the media to play a video game, Katy Perry getting out of a limo with Miley Cyrus on her arm, Ashlee Simpson looking nine months pregnant (and great), and a battle of cleavage being fought between Christina Aguilera, Lauren Conrad, Audrina Partridge and Tila Tequila. What a mess….I hated the host. If you want to get the word out about voting do it the right way and not with a douche bag! What happen to Rock the Vote and all the commercials for that? MTV use to have the most powerful commercials and from what I have seen it is all about reality TV. Bring back the videos and the message to young people to be involved.
Then what was up on ripping on JB about the rings…really bad taste. It was totally boring and then what about Britney….not much to be desired there. It was pretty much a given that she would win all the awards so she would make a come back and bring in more money for everyone. She was like a freaking robot. Lit Wayne…what the hell ever…totally sucked and where was the stylist for him. Pathetic! Is this all music is about in these times? What happened to the real rock stars that would actually put on a true show. No wonder this was the most boring VMA show ever everyone sucked! I really think music needs to make a change! We need legends like old school rap and rock and roll. These people just have a hit record and you never hear from them again. I can not tell you the last time I went out and bought a CD for an artist. It is just (@***#^*(+$$#++# now!
I felt the show was totally misleading to the people that wanted to watch it. MTV advertised more people to perform than what I think did. The crowd was bored and so was I as a viewer. Better luck next year. To be honest, without Britney doing something crazy they are still over rated and have sucked since early 2000. At least back in the headbanger days it was exciting because you never knew what to expect and that is what these awards are all about.
Get it together MTV….Quit showing shows and get to showing more music videos…hint ….MTV.

Ashlee Simpson looks fabulous. Pregnancy has agreed with her beyond well. Her gown was a terrific choice. She looks the part of a young woman who is proud to show her enlarged belly and has enough respect for herself, her husband and their child to come looking like she is really proud to be pregnant, MARRIED and in love with her life. As they say, “You Go Girl!!” I hope your baby has as much pride in his/her appearance.
