Another day, another Smashgate story. After releasing a statement via his rep, Bret Michaels himself has put fingertips to keyboard to give his take on the accident that left him banged up and party-free. He’s got a sense of humor about it and everything (our favorite parts are bolded). Says Bret:

“I am trying to remain very positive and somewhat humorous about the whole situation. I apologize that I did not make a statement earlier as I have been feeling pretty beat up over the last few days. The fact is I was honored to be asked to perform at the event. The entire Rock of Ages production were awesome and even though I was completely out of my element I was really enjoying myself prior to my injury. In fact all involved at the awards show treated me good.

I had a great time at the Tonys right up until I got blindsided, I must admit it was a little blurry after that. In hindsight, there is no doubt I got my bell rung, unfortunately it has been posted and perhaps funny to watch, but I can assure you it has been painful to experience.

Hey guys, Daisy’s OK.

You may have read TMZ’s story regarding the “possible overdose” of Daisy of Love star Daisy De La Hoya. The official word is that it wasn’t an overdose, but exhaustion that Daisy suffered. Here’s VH1’s statement on the matter:

“Daisy was taken to an ER early Thursday morning suffering from exhaustion. There was no overdose. She is fine this evening and resting comfortably. No further details are being released at this time.”

New York has never been shy when it comes to matters of the vagina (choice quote: “You’re a very passionate kisser. ‘Cause I felt that in other places, too.“), so news of her joining a touring company of The Vagina Monologues should come as no surprise. New York will hit the stage in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and Houston as part of the all-black production of Eve Ensler’s perennial favorite. “It’s kind of a serious actress type thingy and that’s what I’m striving to be,” said New York to the New York Post. It’s not everyday that you read the words “serious” and “thingy” in the same sentence, but there you go.

Also in the touring production is Deelishis, who as you undoubtedly haven’t forgotten, “beat” New York out for Flav’s “heart” in Flavor of Love 2. New York and Deelishis traveling together to multiple cities? We sense another poisoning coming on! [New York Post]

Saaphyri, of VH1’s Charm School and Flavor of Love, used her assets to campaign for her presidential pick at the Fox Reality Channel “Really Awards” last night in Hollywood. She was in good company, surrounded by fellow VH1 faves Daisy De La Hoya, Jeff Conaway, Hottie, Real, Heather Chadwell, and Danny Bonaduce.
