Chris Brown has copped a plea deal in his felony assault case: He’ll be on probation for five years and do 180 days of labor in Virginia, where he lives. He also must enroll in domestic violence counseling.

Chris attended the hearing today in Los Angeles with his mother and other family members. Ex-girlfriend and alleged victim Rihanna also attended, dressed in dark clothing and large dark sunglasses. But the former lovers never came face-to-face as Rihanna was held in a private room until a judge called her into the court to explain that her testimony would not be needed.

Since a plea bargain was reached, Chris will serve no jail time for allegedly beating Rihanna in February.

You know it’s a recession when Beyonce starts giving concert tickets away for next to nothing. The singer has joined the likes of No Doubt, U2, and Dave Matthews Band in offering her fans discounted tickets to her upcoming summer tour.

According to her label, B will be selling the last 2000 tickets to each North American show for just $20 a pop. It’s not like she needs much money these days  - have you see her engagement ring? In addition to scoring cheap seats, fans will have the opportunity to help others with a food drive at each concert, created by Beyonce and Hamburger Helper. Rihanna may not have spoken out in public about her split from alleged abuser Chris Brown, but she’s got a mouthful to say in her new song. Kanye West posted the demo, “Silly Boy,” on his blog this week, in which RiRi bashes her ex with the help of Lady GaGa. She sings:

“I said I’m not coming back. You fooled me once but you can’t have that ego turning. Just too bad for you, that when you had me. Didn’t know what to do, she’s over you. Cause you had a good girl, good girl, girl. That’s a keeper. You had a good girl, good girl but didn’t know how to treat her. So silly boy get out my face. Why do you like the way regrets taste?”

Tila Tequila is a master at generating buzz, and we can’t help but wonder if her latest claim is just that - an attempt at gaining a wee bit more publicity. The MySpace celebrity took to her personal blog this morning to declare love for her new boyfriend - VH1 reality star Ray J. Just last week, he completed his quest for love on the reunion episode of his hit show, For The Love Of Ray J. Tila herself is no newcomer to the weird world of reality dating - she was the star of MTV’s skank-fest A Shot At Love.

Tila announced the coupling on her site, writing: “My baby is Ray J…..and no man has made me feel so loved and so happy in such a long time.  We really do love each other and I am so happy to have FINALLY met someone who treats me with respect and love.  He is so sweet to me and makes me melt everytime I see him…….I love my baby……so there you have it! Tila Tequila is officially dating Ray J!!!!!! I think we make the cutest couple….dont you?????”

She included a sexy video she shot for her new man (watch it below), and then went on to plug both their Twitter accounts, on which they both very recently tweeted to each other lovingly. While we’re just thrilled the two cheeseballs have found love, the whole thing reeks of a publicity stunt conceived by a pair of reality stars who want to keep their names in the media. Precious Lady B was the butt of a serious Internet joke this week, when the entire world (oops - our bad!) was fooled into thinking she secretly had a terrible voice. Turns out, the soundboard recording was fake, created by a 26-year-old Beyonce fan and spread by millions on the web after it was played on the Howard Stern Show on Tuesday.

“I don’t even listen to Howard Stern,” revealed creator  Matthew Zeghibe. “I was just trying to make a point. I wanted to show people how easy it is to manipulate someone’s voice. If I can do it with a clip I pulled off of TV, imagine what they are doing on records and during live performances. The entire industry has been so manipulated, because there’s such an emphasis on perfection, so when something like this happens, it causes such a stir.”

There you have it - that fake recording was created not to ruin the celebrated songbird, but to reveal the music industry as a fraud. Still, Beyonce’s not amused, and she called the whole mess “completely ridiculous.” Lucky for all of us, so is her awesome - and very real - talent.  [Photo: WireImage]

There are a couple reports out this morning that allege that Chris Brown has taken up with a new lady friend. As we all know, he’s currently facing charges stemming from an alleged violent outburst involving ex-love, Rihanna.

The NY Daily News insists that Brown is busying himself with a former flame named Erica Jackson, a student at Virginia’s Mary Washington University. A source says that, “They dated back in the day and reconnected a few weeks ago when Chris was in town. They’ve been spending a lot of time together, but things only really heated up over the last two weeks.”

But according to the Examiner.com, Chris has been cozying up to Natalie Mejia from the pop group Girlicious, and the site says that the two were spotted at a tattoo parlor on Saturday. Chris Brown appeared in court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to two charges of assaulting and threatening Rihanna. He said he was “sorry and saddened” by the incident and is seeking counseling - and faces five years in the slammer if found guilty. Rihanna’s lawyer confirmed that the superstar would testify if called to the witness box. Chris is due back in court in three weeks time.

However, this plea has enraged Rihanna’s dad, Ronald Fenty, who said the shamed singer needed to quit being “in denial” about the attack. “So what happened? Well well well, what do we have here? Why it’s Rihanna, blending right into the Barbados social scene in her curly mullet and shades alongside the prime minister of her native country, David Thompson. The singer returned home to celebrate her grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, and her dad could not be more psyched. “I’m happy to have her home,” he said. “Things are good with her. She is doing really, really well. She’s back to herself again.”

Her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown will head back to court today and is expected to enter into some sort of plea deal. His legal peeps have been working like crazy to arrange some sort of deal, as apparently both he and RiRi want the ordeal to be over.  “It’s expected to be resolved at some point soon.
