Shyne Released From Jail, Now Faces Deportation

Freedom was fleeting yesterday for Shyne, whose promising recording career was cut short following a shoot-out at a Manhattan club in 1999. The rapper was found guilty of multiple charges stemming from the incident (which also involved then-boss Diddy and Jennifer Lopez), and served nine years before his release from prison yesterday. Ironically, Shyne is now being held by Immigration officials, as he may be set for deportation to his native Belize due to his felony record.

Though Shyne previously accused Diddy of influencing testimony against him, the Bad Boy CEO told Hot 97 that he’d recently spoken with his former mentee. “He sounded like he was in good spirits,” said Diddy. “I know he can’t wait to get home.” Shyne was briefly signed to Def Jam Records during his sentence, but dropped after his 2004 album (made of previously-recorded material) failed.

While Jennifer Lopez doesn’t look as boomin’ as she did back when she was a Fly Girl on In Living Color, we’re kind of amazed that her body is still defying gravity and her face is holding wrinkles at bay one week away from her 40th birthday. Let’s consider all that she’s been through.

She’s also survived a high-profile court case during her Diddy days, a last-minute calling off of her “Bennifer” engagement as well as two divorces. And we haven’t even mentioned that she gave birth to twins with hubby Marc Anthony earlier this year. Allow us to repeat ourselves: Twins!

Chris Brown looked like he was enjoying himself at Diddy’s White Ball in Beverly Hills over the weekend — and got chatting up close and personal with Rihanna look-alike Teyana Taylor. The two had already been spotted sitting together courtside at the NBA finals, and it was pointed out that her style looked similar to Rihanna’s. But don’t think she’s taken fashion tips from Chris’ ex. “I’ve always dressed like that. I’ve always had style … I’ve had that Mohawk now for months,” Teyana previously explained. OK!

Born Roderick Anthony Burton II, the Atlanta rapper Dolla was shot to death yesterday while waiting in a valet area of the Beverly Center, an upscale mall in Beverly Hills. According to TMZ, the LAPD arrested a man at the Los Angeles International Airport who may have been either the shooter or connected to the shooting and who goes by the name of Aubery Berry. The suspect allegedly had a 9 millimeter handgun tucked in his pants.

In addition to rapping, Dolla modeled for Diddy’s Sean John clothing line. He was recording his first album, “Another Day, Another Dolla,” which was meant to be released on Akon’s Konvict Muzik label. His debut single, “Who the Fuck Is That?,” reached #82 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Before the shooting yesterday, Dolla opened a Twitter account. Diddy’s Miami mansion is quite the hookup spot. After their dramatic blowup last month, Rihanna and Chris Brown reunited at the rapper’s Star Island pad and now Diddy himself is getting some nookie at the love nest.

A source who attended a private after hours soiree at Diddy’s Florida home over the weekend exclusively tells Scandalist, “Diddy and Cassie were definitely together. They were all over each other and didn’t leave each other’s side the whole night.”

Diddy and Cassie have been rumored to be hooking up for more than a year, but the Bad Boy has always denied it. “I am still single and am not in love with anyone,” he said when rumors of he and Cassie being an item first surfaced.

Our source insists, however, that the two artists definitely looked hot and heavy. “They were hooking up all night,” our source revealed. And what a night it was. Aubrey O’Day has no regrets about posing nude for Playboy. Not only does she have no regrets, she wants to do it again and get even more naked this time.

“I absolutely want to do it again, any day. I’ve been asked to actually. I only took a little bit off so I’ll be back,” the former Danity Kane crooner said.

Aubrey said she is not phased by the creepy attention she got after putting her privates on display on the pages of a glossy magazine for all to see.

“I get sent a lot of creepy pictures like of guys licking the pages,” she said.

The fabulous maybe-lesbian also feels that her firing from Danity Kane is just representative of what is going on in the economy. “A lot of people last year were fired, we are in a recession. Diddy just started Twittering a few weeks ago, and he’s already attracted over 96,000 followers. His secret? Posting obsessively about his tantric sex habit and detailing his attempt at a 36-hour bone marathon on his Twitter site.

According to his new Twitter account, Diddy is currently three hours and thirty-three minutes into a thirty-five hour sex marathon. “Having tantric sex!!!! I feel so much better.!!! Thank you,” he announced early this morning. He’s since updated three times, rallying support for his f*ckery and urging himself to maintain focus. Most recently he tweeted, “Ohh yea. Diddy freak-outs make our day, so we were thrilled to discover the biggest dude-diva in town had a meltdown Monday night outside club M2. Dids was there to co-host a birthday party for DJ Clue alongside Kobe Bryant, but he flipped out when he showed up at the club and discovered police searching people as they entered the hot spot. Apparently they were checking for weapons so as to protect all the big-name ballers guzzling Cristal inside (NBA stars like Lamar Odom and Vince Carter).

Diddy rolled in with a six-person crew, and went into full nervous breakdown mode on the curb. “He went nuts,” revealed a blabbermouth spy, “saying, ‘Why are you disrespecting me like this? Why are you doing this to me?’”

When the mogul reached DJ Clue via text to ask him WTF, Clue informed him that he could only enter after being searched. Diddy bailed, perhaps scared of repeating history.
