Miley Cyrus Records Sexy Duet With…Bret Michaels?

Miley Cyrus & Bret Michaels

Hey, it’s not illegal to sing about it, right? Bret Michaels somehow got Miley Cyrus to join him on his new single, “Nothing To Lose,” despite steamy lyrics that don’t really scream for the assistance of a 17-year-old (at least not in public). While Bret handles the opening verse—something about a woman’s pain—Cyrus joins in on the questionable chorus: “Won’t you fall down on me/ so close I can feel you breathe/ Tonight in the darkness/ if the truth is all we can see/ If I fall for you/ would you fall for me?” Depends what state we’re in, Miley!

If that wasn’t skeevy enough for you, the second verse has them admitting “Yeah, we both know better than this/ but we still can’t resist / slowly get undressed/ yeah, she does/ when she falls down on me…” To be fair, Miley sings along with that final “she,” suggesting she may merely be a loudly mixed third party rather than a participatant in Bret’s romantic fantasy. “Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music,” Miley said on her website after recording the track late last year. “He’s is so passionate about music and it shows. I think it is such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of.” He certainly takes her seriously as an adult, it seems.

Check out the track after the jump.

Bret Michaels: Cursed?

BretMichaels

We’re going to go out on a limb and suggest a theory that seems to get stronger by the day: Bret Michaels is cursed. When news broke this weekend that his tour bus was involved in an accident on a Canadian highway on July 4, we added that to the list of Very Bad Things that have happened to Michaels over the past year. According to a writeup on Michaels’ website, this accident was caused when “a car lost control and slid into the side of Mr. Michaels’s tour bus causing a five car pile-up on the roadway.”

In October, 2008, Michaels halted production of Rock of Love Bus after a crew member was involved in a deadly car accident. Dennis Hernandez, a truck driver for the show, was on his way to a taping when his vehicle crossed the median strip of a highway in Illinois after he fell asleep at the wheel. Two oncoming cars were hit and two teenagers were killed.

On June 7th this year, Michaels collided with a piece of descending scenery at the Tony Awards and sustained some pretty rough facial injuries including a broken nose.

Lets hope that Michaels’ bad luck has come to an end - maybe the rule of threes will apply and from here on out he will have a drama-free existence. Unless he insists on doing more reality TV. Bret Michaels Speaks Out About Tonys Snafu

Another day, another Smashgate story. After releasing a statement via his rep, Bret Michaels himself has put fingertips to keyboard to give his take on the accident that left him banged up and party-free. He’s got a sense of humor about it and everything (our favorite parts are bolded). Says Bret:

“I am trying to remain very positive and somewhat humorous about the whole situation. I apologize that I did not make a statement earlier as I have been feeling pretty beat up over the last few days. The fact is I was honored to be asked to perform at the event. The entire Rock of Ages production were awesome and even though I was completely out of my element I was really enjoying myself prior to my injury. In fact all involved at the awards show treated me good.

I had a great time at the Tonys right up until I got blindsided, I must admit it was a little blurry after that. In hindsight, there is no doubt I got my bell rung, unfortunately it has been posted and perhaps funny to watch, but I can assure you it has been painful to experience.

Bret Michaels Saved By Shrek And Donkey

Bret Michaels is keeping a positive attitude after breaking his nose and busting open his lip at the Tonys on Sunday.

“All I remember is Shrek and the donkey helping me up, and Liza giving me a towel,” the Rock of Love star joked. Bret also found Neil Patrick Harris‘ joke that he gave new meaning for the word “headbanging” funny.

Although his attitude is in the right place, his health will dictate whether or not he can continue with his solo tour.

“He may have to cancel his next show - we’ll see,” his rep said. “Bret is a tough son of a bitch, but he’s really banged up.” [Photo: Getty Images]

Fatal Accident Derails Rock of Love Bus

A crew member from the 51 Minds Entertainment production of the upcoming Rock Of Love Bus series on VH1 was involved in an auto accident on Interstate 57 in southern Illinois on Friday afternoon. The crew member, who is not an associate of Bret Michaels or part of his tour staff, was traveling alone to the next location stop for the series. The accident resulted in two fatalities in one car and injuries to two passengers in another vehicle. The crew member survived and has been released from the hospital. Local authorities continue to investigate.

Bret Michaels has requested that his participation in the production of the series be temporarily suspended in deepest sympathy as he attempts to reach out to the families of the victims. Traveling separately, Mr. Michaels had left Illinois early Friday morning and was not near the scene of the accident.

Michaels, 51 Minds Entertainment and VH1 extend their deepest sympathies to everyone involved in this terrible accident.

“As a father of two, I cannot even imagine what the families must be going through at this time. I will make every attempt to reach out to them to let them know that my heart and prayers are with them during their time of grief,” said Michaels in a statement.
