Katy Perry paid tribute to the host city of last night’s EMAs - Berlin - by opening the show with a Teutonic raunch-fest of the highest, filthiest order. Dressed in a teeny-tiny basque (complete with heart over her vay-jay-jay), host Katy performed a medley of hits including Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”,Beyonce’s “Halo” and the Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody” in a Liza Minnelli in Cabaret style.
Once the impressive chair-humping was over with, Katy decided to remind us all that she is banging Russell Brand. “Last year I popped my MTV cherry, but this time i’m a bit more experienced if you know what I mean,” she not-too-subtly teased. For a second year in a row little Mrs. Russell Brand (AKA Katy Perry)hosted the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. Mega stars like Beyonce, theJonas Brothers, and Shakira attended the show but first rocked the red carpet in style.
Pete Wentz strutted down the carpet with one smokey eye (we’re sure there is a good reason for this…right?!) and David Hasselhoff seemed to have just staggered his way into the event (sporting sequins no less).

Their romance has already lasted most of a month, which must be some sort of record for Russell Brand, buthis ex-fling has shot out a warning bow for Katy Perry. Georgina Bailie, who was at the center of a huge scandal last year when Russell and fellow broadcaster Jonathan Ross left explicit messages on her grandfather’s phone on a radio show, has spoken out about her experience with the bed-hopping Lothario.
“I don’t think he’s capable of monogamy. I was part of his conveyor belt of women coming through his door. If you go to one of those famous bars or clubs in London every second girl in there knows what Russell is like in bed from personal experience,” she “revealed” to the News of the World.
Really? We haven’t slept with Russell ourselves, but god, tell us something we don’t know. We think Katy’s a big girl and probably knows more than enough about Russell’s reputation for herself. And he dressed more like a normal person, rather than a sex-crazed pirate dandy on his way to see Katy in Los Angeles this weekend (pics below), so we think this one may have legs. After a successful Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, it was time to hop over to Europe for Paris Fashion Week. We grabbed some fabulous dresses from Margi Kent and some amazing Tuleste Market jewelry and got styled by New York Girl Style for Venexiana and AZ Araujo and headed over to the City of Lights. From getting the dish on Rihanna’s love life, to seeing Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s blossoming romance, to getting moved to the front row at the Jean Paul Gaultier show, Paris Fashion Week was fantastic! Why aren’t celebrities simply satisfied with their chosen career paths? They seem to think that having one hit song gives them license to design a line of dog leashes or mix up a perfume, and sadly that just ain’t so. Katy Perryis the latest celeb to fall victim to Hollywood’s “I can do it all!” attitude, with her recent stint hosting some Fashion Week interviews for Elle.com.
Don’t get us wrong, we love Katy when she’s prancing around onstage and canoodling sex-freak Russell Brand (Katy, he’s gonna break your heart - watch out girl!) but interviewing Karl Lagerfeld? No thanks. The iconic designer didn’t seem all that charmed by Katy’s clumsy on-camera skills - he gently corrected her when she confused a leather dress for metal and said he preferred listening to his pal Lily Allen - Katy’s arch-nemesis - when getting ready for shows. Hot new couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand kept their new love hot in Paris when they showed up with their arms around each other at the John Galliano runway show at Paris Fashion Week yesterday. The “Hot ‘N Cold” singer and the MTV VMA host showed up to the runway show looking very proud to be together, happily posing together for photos and going backstage to chat with the designer. Katy and Russell were escorted to the front row, a few seats down from Prince, with whom they happily chatted. Russell rubbed Katy’s back throughout the “Sunset Blvd.”-themed show and the two whispered in each other’s ears. The couple held hands and Russell even kissed his lady love on the cheek when the show came to a close. Looks like this romance is on!!!
After the show, Katy wrote on Twitter, “Oh my, Galliano was by far the best. It was a dark sexy dream of beautiful mental sparkling women.
