Sorry President Obama, Jon Gosselin, Miley Cyrus and Guidos and Guidettes alike, but 2009 was The Year of the Gaga…Lady Gaga. She stormed onto the scene and into our hearts faster than you can say the words ’sparkly unitard.’ Lady Gaga still continues to wow us with her bold and unique otherworldly style. On and offstage she has broken all conventions and enchanted us with sequins, leather, lace, fur, twigs and wigs in the shape of hair accessories — sometimes all within a single outfit.
Earlier this year we looked at Lady Gaga’s Top 40 Hottest Outfits Ever, but that didn’t encapsulate even half of Gaga’s collection. She might have looked smoking hot when Lady Gaga met the Queen of England, but did you know the Lady really does like to light up? Lady Gaga needs strong, healthy lungs to sing and dance, so why ever would she smoke? Sadly, the “Bad Romance” singer was caught puffing on a cancer stick while in Vancover. Although her sexy gold outfit is a winner, her cigarette ruins the whole getup and makes it a fashion no-no. Prior to Tila Tequila announcing her engagement, Tila and “fiance” Casey Johnson walked the red carpet at the Famous Stars and Straps 10th Anniversary and Snoop Dogg’s 10th Album Event and had a little slip of the nip. That’s right - Tila’s areolas just popped out of her top and posed for the cameras too. Katy Perry paid tribute to the host city of last night’s EMAs - Berlin - by opening the show with a Teutonic raunch-fest of the highest, filthiest order. Dressed in a teeny-tiny basque (complete with heart over her vay-jay-jay), host Katy performed a medley of hits including Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”, Beyonce’s “Halo” and the Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody” in a Liza Minnelli in Cabaret style.
Once the impressive chair-humping was over with, Katy decided to remind us all that she is banging Russell Brand. “Last year I popped my MTV cherry, but this time i’m a bit more experienced if you know what I mean,” she not-too-subtly teased. Not only is she “reissuing” her The Fame album as The Fame Monster, for the very special price of $114.98 you can get it plus a very special art book including a real bit snipped off your favorite pop star. Bargain!
Yes, stalkers and weirdos rejoice because Gaga is giving away a “lock of her hair” with every purchase of the “Book of Gaga”! Woop! So, while leafing through Gaga’s “journey into pop superstardom” and wearing those inclusive so-next-season 3-D glasses, you too can develop an unhealthy attachment to a few bits of hair. However, Gaga’s clarified it won’t be her actual hair, just pieces from her many, many wigs. “Some people are saying it is creepy - but they don’t know my fans. According to the FFC, nipples on broadcast television do not get a pass. In fact, they consider even the faintest sliver of exposed areola to be a highly offensive and punishable crime (CBS was fined half a million dollars for Janet’s nanosecond nipple slip). Thankfully, we’re on the internet - a world chock full of nipples and totally free of the FCC that would banish them forever!
For your viewing pleasure, here are 40 photos featuring accidental nip slips and lots of very revealing and very sheer tops. Either these ladies didn’t look in a mirror before leaving the house or they are just full-on liberated. While this is the internet and we did just shrug off the puritanical FCC, we do have a single shred of dignity left (plus - you know - we don’t want to be a porn site). Pop star du jour Lady Gaga continued her crusade for marriage equality this weekend in Washington DC. She spoke at the National Equality March before roughly 250,000 LGBT activists and straight allies. During her passionate address, she stated that speaking at the march was the single most important moment in her career. While her speech was mostly poised and poignant, her trademark Gaga outrageousness surfaced at one point, as she screamed “ARE YOU LISTENING?!?” to President Obama. A source that was in the midst of the crowd on the Mall said she had the otherwise-rowdy crowd captivated in silence as she spoke. You go Gaga! [Photo: Splash New Online]
The quest for marriage equality was nationwide yesterday as celebrities Sophia Bush, Emmy Rossum, Perez Hilton, Kelly Osbourne and others marched in West Hollywood to protest Prop 8.

Everything seemed fine with Lady Gaga at the launch of her Heartbeats brand headphones in New York last night, but you wouldn’t know it from the rumors concerning her upcoming “Fame Kills” tour with Kanye West. Yesterday, MediaTakeout shrieked that Gaga could announce her departure from the tour at any moment (which is true, in the sense that anyone could announce anything at any moment). Today, Ryan Seacrest dropped a coy twit on the subject and MSNBC says West may be off to dry out in rehab. Between Gaga’s relatively undramatic public outing and Kanye trying to make “perf” happen on his blog today, neither camp is admitting any drama. But even if the rumors turn out to be true—and don’t expect them to end anytime soon—we’ll always have that kind-of-NSFW tour ad.
UPDATE: LiveNation has announced that the “Fame Kills” tour is being cancelled. Let the blame game begin.

We have done Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week five times, and this was by far the most fabulous of them all. The energy in New York City was back, and more celebrities than ever came out to the tents to watch the models show off the new looks for Spring 2010. From hanging with Rihanna on Fashion’s Night Out to hosting our own Fashion Week party to checking out the hottest in shoes and clothing, this Fashion Week was truly amazing.
