Nicole Richie is not taking pregnancy lying down. The skinny reality star, save for her massive baby bump, could wait for baby number two by lounging around and eating pickles and ice cream. Remember the old Nicole Richie from The Simple Life days? We barely do either! Since giving birth to adorable Harlow Madden, her first child with Joel Madden, Richie has evolved and is now a style icon, doting mom and designer. With her latest venture, she gets to combine all three of those passions; she will be designing a line of maternity clothes for A Pea In The Pod.

Richie wrote in her blog, “Pea in the Pod and I joined to create a capsule collection of maternity wear that will be available in stores this summer.  Last weekend I shot some images for the campaign with one of my favorite photographers, James White. I’m really excited for you all to see the new collection.”

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden debuted their new identi-couple look at the launch of her new jewelery line last night. The sunkissed mama and her man sported the similar blond highlights in Miami, begging the question, was there a two-for-one deal at the hairdressers? And if not, who decided this was a good idea?

Maybe it’s just a trend thing, as copycat coupledom is where it’s at — just look at Kelly Osbourne and her fellow white-haired BF Luke Worrall for the worst offenders — but we’re all a bit ‘meh’ about it.  Still, Nicole looks amazing again, no? [Photo: Getty Images]

Mischa Barton has swapped falling out with the LA party crew of 2005 for doing more of the same with the London hipster crew of 2009. Instead of feuding with former BFF Nicole Richie over Joel Madden, she’s falling out with party sibling Pixie Geldof over edgy British comic Noel Fielding.

“Pixie is really into Noel, but Mischa’s taken a real shine to him too. And when Mischa arrived in town she got Noel’s attention as well, and seemed to be loving it. She finds him a charming guy… At the weekend they all ended up in Mischa’s hotel together. Neither of the girls was happy about it but neither was prepared to leave him to the other one,” says a friend.

Granted, with his penchant for skintight leggings, quirky looks and diminutive status, Noel’s hardly your typical ladykiller. But compared to Mischa’s former conquests - Cisco Adler, Luke Pritchard and human oilslick Brandon Davis - Noel looks like quite the catch to us. Oscars? Pah! For the under-fives, there was only one place to be spotted this weekend — Cruz Beckham’s 4^th birthday party. Held at the latest hip hangout — well, the Xtreme Martial Arts World Headquarters — it was attended by the cream of Hollywood who weren’t busy prepping themselves for the next night’s Academy Awards. But could the red carpet boast outfits of this calibre?

The birthday boy arrived dressed as Wolverine with mom Victoria and left in an Iron Man get-up, while brother Romeo was Batman and older Beckham boy Brooklyn clearly thought he was way cool for this dressing up business. Joel Madden calls his girlfriend Nicole Richie “the best mom I’ve ever seen,” because she purees her own green bean baby food for daughter Harlow and tracks her “every smile” in a journal. “I think my sense of self is still the same,” Nicole says about her new life post-baby. “But I don’t do things, we do things. I work around her.”

Her love is adorable, but it’s also interesting to note that Nicole has taken all that energy she once invested in being bone thin, and dumped it into her daughter. But hey, whatever keeps her healthy and eating, right?! Nicole also reveals that her daughter is just like her, which may not be a good thing. “Harlow’s a delicate soul,” Paris’ BFF said. “She studies people. She’s very coy. People say that she and I make the same expressions.” [People]

Long gone are the days of the Vicodin-popping, pot-smoking Nicole Richie driving the wrong way on the freeway.  Harlow’s mama is setting up an innovative new website for her and babydaddy Joel Madden’s Richie-Madden foundation, the Daily News reports.

A source reveals, “The Web site will be a registry, like for a bridal or shower registry, where low-income women list things they need for their babies. More well-off people will then go on and buy stuff for the children.”

“She’s hired some pretty high-powered consultants to advise her and put it all together.”

Nicole and Joel have reportedly even asked friends and family to refrain from giving gifts to baby Harlow and donate to the charity instead.  This former DUI recipient is giving Angelina Jolie some competition as Hollywood’s most charitable celebrity.
